Cambodia's Exports Reach Over US$17 Billion in H1
AKP Phnom Penh, July 10, 2026 -- Cambodia's exports reached US$17.09 billion in the first half (H1) of 2026, marking a 19.5 percent increase from US$14.29 billion during the same period last year, according to a report released by the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCE) on July 10.
The United States remained Cambodia's largest export market during the January-June period, with shipments valued at US$7.17 billion, accounting for more than 42 percent of the country's total exports.
Vietnam ranked as the second-largest destination for Cambodian exports, importing goods worth US$2.52 billion, followed by China at US$943.34 million.
Japan and Canada also remained important markets, receiving exports valued at US$906.53 million and US$634.02 million respectively.
Cambodia’s main export products are garments, machinery, electrical equipment, footwear products, leather goods, grain, furniture, rubber, fruits, vegetables, pearls, toys and textiles.
Mr. Lim Heng, Vice President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, said Cambodia's strong export performance reflected the country's deeper integration into international markets through major trade agreements.
He pointed to the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), as well as bilateral free trade agreements with China, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates, as key factors supporting export growth.
“The latest figures underscore the resilience of Cambodia's export sector despite continued global economic and security uncertainties,” Mr. Lim Heng said.
Meanwhile, Cambodia imported goods worth US$19.76 billion during the first half of 2026, an increase of 21.4 percent compared with the corresponding period last year, the GDCE report pointed out.
Cambodia’s major imports include refined petroleum, vehicles, electronics, medicines and supplements, consumables, and food and beverages.
