Cambodian Post & Telecommunications Minister and Outgoing Japanese Ambassador Pledge Deeper Digital Partnership

Cambodian Minister of Post and Telecommunications H.E. Chea Vandeth met with outgoing Japanese Ambassador H.E. Ueno Atsushi on Wednesday to reaffirm bilateral commitments to digital infrastructure and technology cooperation, as the envoy concludes his tenure in the Kingdom.
During the farewell courtesy call at the Ministry, both officials reviewed progress on joint initiatives and outlined strategic priorities for future collaboration, with particular emphasis on advancing digital transformation and accelerating the development of Cambodia’s National Data Centre – a flagship project underpinning the nation’s digital government agenda.
The two sides committed to elevating their institutional partnership, vowing to deepen technical exchanges and investment in next-generation ICT systems.
Minister Chea Vandeth expressed profound appreciation for Ambassador Ueno’s sustained support for Cambodia’s technological modernisation, lauding his diplomatic stewardship in fostering innovation-driven ties.
He extended best wishes to the ambassador for his future assignments, acknowledging the close cooperation forged during his mission in Cambodia.
