New Turkish Ambassador Commits to Deepening Türkiye-Cambodia Bilateral Relations and Cooperation

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Cambodia has pledged to further strengthen and expand bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
H.E. Mesut Özcan, the new Turkish diplomat, made the commitment while paying a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh on Monday morning.
During the meeting, Ambassador Özcan expressed his honour at being appointed as Türkiye’s Ambassador to Cambodia and spoke highly of the positive progress achieved in bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in recent years.
He also expressed appreciation to the Royal Government of Cambodia and relevant ministries and institutions for their continued support and constructive cooperation, which have contributed to strengthening ties between Türkiye and Cambodia.
In this context, Ambassador Özcan reaffirmed his commitment to promoting, reinforcing, and broadening bilateral relations and cooperation during his diplomatic mission in Cambodia, with the aim of achieving deeper and more comprehensive collaboration across various sectors.
In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet congratulated Ambassador Özcan on his appointment and expressed satisfaction with the continued development of bilateral relations and the growing Cambodia-Türkiye partnership.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that under Ambassador Özcan’s tenure, relations and cooperation between the two countries would continue to grow stronger, deeper, and more dynamic.
Both sides also exchanged views on further enhancing bilateral cooperation in priority areas, including economy, investment and trade, security and defence, education, tourism, and environmental cooperation.
The Premier encouraged the Ambassador to continue engaging closely with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions to further deepen and broaden relations and cooperation between the two countries.
