Cambodia Joins Opening of China-Asia Exhibition in Kunming
AKP Kunming, June 11, 2026 --
A Cambodian delegation led by H.E. Chhean Leang, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Information, together with senior media and policy representatives, attended the official opening ceremony of the 10th China-South Asia Exposition and the 30th China Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair held on June 11 in Kunming City, Southwestern China’s Yunnan Province.
The high-profile economic and trade gathering, which runs from June 11 to 16, serves as a vital platform to enhance regional cooperation, commerce, and people-to-people connections between China, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
H.E. Chhean Leang emphasised that Cambodia’s active participation in this year’s expo directly mirrors the enduring and expanding bilateral ties between Cambodia and China.
"The event provides an important platform for strengthening trade, investment, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people connectivity among countries in the region," the Secretary of State underlined.
He further noted that Cambodia has established a prominent physical footprint at the event through the Cambodia-China Trade Centre booth.
The pavilion is designed to showcase a series of Cambodia’s potential goods, agricultural products, and investment opportunities to international buyers and regional commerce leaders.
Jointly organised by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, the six-day exposition features 13 specialised thematic pavilions.
The event has drawn participants, trade representatives, and ministerial officials from 68 countries, regions, and international organisations.
