On 29 May 2026, the Cambodia Boxing Federation (CBF) organized the international boxing event “Dragon – The Golden Ring”, featuring Cambodian athletes competing against international fighters.

During the tournament, naturalized Cambodian boxing champion Anvar Nasredinov secured a convincing victory over his opponent from Angola by unanimous decision, bringing pride to Cambodia and further highlighting the growing strength of Cambodian boxing on the international stage.

Among the distinguished guests attending the event was Mr. Vladimir Palancica Lee, Head of BRICS House Cambodia and a prominent international businessman. His presence demonstrated strong support for the development of Cambodian sports, particularly boxing, which continues to gain recognition both regionally and internationally.

In addition to attending the event, Mr. Palancica also provided financial support to the Cambodian national boxing team, reaffirming his commitment to helping develop sporting talent and strengthen Cambodia’s sports sector.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Palancica emphasized that:

“Sport is a powerful form of diplomacy. Every victory achieved by a Cambodian athlete raises the Cambodian flag on the international stage and helps people around the world learn more about Cambodia, its people, and its achievements.”

As Head of BRICS House Cambodia, Mr. Palancica also highlighted the organization’s commitment to supporting international sports cooperation. He stated that BRICS House is ready to encourage exchanges of experience, technical knowledge, and best practices between Cambodian sports federations and their counterparts across BRICS countries and partner nations.

Mr. Palancica expressed his hope that BRICS House Cambodia will contribute to creating more opportunities for Cambodian athletes and sports officials to engage with international partners, helping raise the standards of Cambodian sports and promoting the Kingdom’s image abroad.

He also expressed his intention to continue supporting sports development and youth initiatives in Cambodia in the future.

Cambodia’s achievements in sports not only inspire young generations but also contribute to enhancing the Kingdom’s image and reputation on the global stage.
