Five South Korean Firms Eye Investment Opportunities in Cambodia
AKP Phnom Penh, May 28, 2026 --
A delegation representing five South Korean companies is scheduled to visit Cambodia next month to explore potential investment opportunities, official sources said.
The upcoming trade mission was highlighted during a meeting at the Royal Cambodian Embassy in Seoul on Tuesday between Cambodian Ambassador to South Korea H.E. Khuon Phon Ratanak, Aerobi Co. Chief Executive Lee Moon-cheol, and badminton coach Song Young-ho. The meeting was facilitated by Kim Yun-tae, director of the Korea Multicultural Museum.
During the talks, Kim outlined progress in rallying South Korean investors to examine Cambodia's economic potential, announcing plans to lead an initial group of five companies to the Southeast Asian nation in June 2026.
To maximise the impact of the upcoming trip, Kim requested the embassy's assistance in coordinating high-level meetings with relevant Cambodian ministries, state institutions, and industry peers to discuss concrete cooperation and long-term investment prospects.
In response, Ambassador Khuon Phon Ratanak expressed his appreciation to Kim for his consistent efforts in bridging businesses between the two nations and promoting Cambodia as a viable investment destination.
The ambassador assured the delegation that the embassy would fully support and facilitate the visit, including arranging the requested institutional meetings, to ensure a productive and successful mission.
