His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has expressed his gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam and H.E. U Min Aung Hlaing, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, for their wishes for his swift recovery.

In two separate letters dated May 8, the Cambodian monarch said he was deeply touched by the thoughtful messages sent by the Bruneian and Myanmar leaders upon learning of his recent surgery and recuperation in Beijing.

His Majesty the King conveyed his sincere appreciation for their warm wishes for his full and speedy recovery.

His Majesty underwent surgery on April 20 at a hospital in Beijing. According to the Ministry of the Royal Palace, he has been recovering well and was discharged from the hospital on May 1.

However, His Majesty will continue staying at the Royal Residence in Beijing and return to the hospital periodically for follow-up examinations, medication, and continued recovery.
