AKP Phnom Penh, May 07, 2026 --
Cambodia reaffirmed its commitment to the peaceful settlement of disputes and adherence to international law during the 31st ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC) Council Meeting held in Cebu, the Philippines on May 7.
Representing Cambodia at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn stressed the importance of respecting sovereignty and the principle of non-use of force in maintaining regional peace and stability.
During his intervention, H.E. Prak Sokhonn highlighted ASEAN’s continued role as a vital force for promoting peace, stability, and mutual trust both within the region and beyond.
In light of the growing concerns over transnational crimes, particularly online scams, Cambodia also called for intensified regional coordination and active engagement with the ASEAN partners to effectively prevent and combat these crimes together.
