Shared Sacrifice at the Border: Preah Vihear Officials Bring Supplies and Solidarity to Frontline Troops
AKP Phnom Penh, May 06, 2026 --
Senior provincial officials on Tuesday visited frontline troops stationed along the Cambodian-Thai border to deliver food supplies and express solidarity with personnel defending the nation’s territorial integrity.
Ms. Hem Sokunpisey, Director of the Preah Vihear Provincial Department of Information, and Ms. Srey Sean Sokin, Director of the Provincial Department of Planning, led the delegation to "Point 333," a strategic border location in Choam Ksan district.
The donated supplies included pork, duck, and fresh vegetables funded by the officials' personal contributions. Additionally, 50 cases of bottled water were provided by Nuon Vithya, Deputy Director General of the National Treasury, through representative Eang Vanntha to support the unit’s daily subsistence.
During the visit, the two department directors praised the soldiers for their unwavering commitment and bravery.
They emphasised that the mission serves as a vital bridge between the "front line and the rear," ensuring that troops remain motivated despite the challenging terrain and unpredictable weather conditions.
"This visit is a testament to our shared sacrifice and a gesture of encouragement for the heroes who stand guard over our land with the utmost loyalty," the officials stated.
