Cambodian PM to Attend 48th ASEAN Summit in the Philippines This Week

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high-level delegation to attend the 48th ASEAN Summit in the Philippines, at the invitation of H.E. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines and Chair of ASEAN in 2026.
The 48th ASEAN Summit will take place from May 7 to 8, 2026 in Cebu, according to a press release issued on Tuesday morning by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister and First Lady Dr. PICH Chanmony HUNMANET will be accompanied by H.E. Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, along with other Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and senior government officials, as well as business representatives from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and the Cambodian Oknha Association.
Guided by the theme "Navigating Our Future, Together," the Summit will provide a platform for the ASEAN Leaders to discuss key issues related to the ASEAN Community Building, and the Way Forward, focusing on: (1) ensuring regional energy security and resilience, (2) stabilising food security, and (3) safety of ASEAN nationals, as well as exchange of views on regional and international issues, with a view to fostering a peaceful, prosperous, inclusive, and resilient future.
On the sidelines of the Summit, Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with ASEAN counterparts to further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and shared interests
