S. Korea Committed to Promoting Battambang’s Potential to Investors and Tourists

The Republic of Korea is committed to helping promote Battambang province’s potential to its Korean investors and tourists.
The commitment was made by H.E. Kim Chang Yong, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Cambodia, during a meeting with H.E. Sok Lou, Governor of Battambang province, in the provincial city on April 29.
H.E. Sok Lou highlighted Battambang’s potential in the economy, agriculture, culture and tourism, which can attract more Korean investors and visitors to the province.
The Governor thanked the Government and people of South Korea for their contribution to Cambodia’s development in all sectors, specifically to Battambang province in health, irrigation and mine clearance.
For his part, the South Korean Ambassador noted Cambodia’s active commitment in cracking down on cybercrimes, and spoke highly of the achievements of the joint task force established by the two countries to combat cross-border crimes, including cybercrimes.
The Embassy will also work hard to ensure that more Cambodian workers can be recruited to work in South Korea, according to H.E. Kim Chang Yong.
The two sides also discussed the formulation of a friendship alliance between Battambang province and various South Korean cities and provinces to further strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two people and nations.
