Cambodia, Japan Reaffirm Continued Collaboration in Enhancing Governance
AKP Phnom Penh, April 23, 2026 --
A Cambodian delegation led by H.E. SAK Setha, Senior Minister, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ms. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, in Tokyo on April 23.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, during the meeting, Parliamentary Vice-Minister ERI extended a warm welcome to Minister SAK Setha and his delegation on the occasion of their visit to Japan.
She also expressed her respect for the Minister’s contributions to enhancing administrative efficiency in Cambodia in cooperation with Japan for many years.
In response, the Cambodian Senior Minister expressed his gratitude for Japan’s assistance for strengthening administrative capacity, including the dispatch of “Policy Advisor for Local Administration,” and noted that such support has made a significant contribution to Cambodia’s development.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing to work together to strengthen governance in Cambodia.
