OIF Secretary-General to Conduct a Working Visit to Cambodia
AKP Phnom Penh, February 28, 2026 —
H.E. Ms. Louise MUSHIKIWABO, Secretary-General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), will undertake a working visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia, from Mar. 1 to 4, 2026, at the the invitation of H.E. PRAK Sokhonn, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
According to a press release issued this morning by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during the visit, H.E. Ms. Louise MUSHIKIWABO will pay a courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen, President of the Senate, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and H.E. Kittisethabindit CHEAM Yeap, First Vice-President of the National Assembly.
H.E. Secretary-General will also meet with H.E. Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn to discuss the progress of the preparations for the 20th Francophonie Summit, which will take place on Nov. 15- 16, 2026, in Phnom Penh and holds significant importance for both Cambodia and the entire Francophone community.
“The upcoming visit highlights the joint commitment of the International Organisation of La Francophonie and the Kingdom of Cambodia to enhance their partnership and promote greater cooperation for the benefit of francophone actors in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond,” emphasised the press release.
