Cambodian Prime Minister Extends New Year Best Wishes to Vietnamese Counterpart
AKP Phnom Penh, February 15, 2026 -- Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent a congratulatory letter to H.E. Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2026, the Year of the Horse.
On behalf of the Royal Government and the people of Cambodia, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet conveyed his warmest greetings and best wishes to the Government and people of Viet Nam, wishing them good health, prosperity, and continued success in the new year.
The Premier also congratulated Viet Nam on its remarkable economic performance, noting the country’s economic growth of over eight percent in the past year. He expressed confidence in Viet Nam’s continued progress toward becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income, industrialised nation by 2045, and extended his best wishes for sustained growth and prosperity.
Prime Minister Hun Manet further welcomed the successful State Visit of H.E. To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, to Cambodia on Feb. 6, 2026. He recalled their candid discussions and reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to further expand comprehensive cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations in the spirit of good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-lasting stability.
Samdech Thipadei concluded by renewing his highest consideration to his Vietnamese counterpart and expressing hope that the Year of the Horse would bring continued success and well-being to the leadership and people of Viet Nam.
