Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet Departs for the U.S. to Attend the Board of Peace’s Inaugural Meeting
AKP Phnom Penh, February 15, 2026 -- A high-level Cambodian delegation led by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet left here this evening for the U.S. to attend the Inaugural Meeting of the Board of Peace to be held on Feb. 19 at the Donald J. Trump U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C.
The delegation was seen of at Techo International Airport by deputy prime ministers and many other senior officials.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the meeting will mark the formal commencement of the Board's mandate, in accordance with the Resolution of the United Nations Security Council adopted on Nov. 17, 2025, which aims to promote peace and advance efforts towards the reconstruction in Gaza.
In addition, the participating leaders are expected to engage in broad discussions on regional and global peace, stability and development.
During his stay in Washington, D.C., the Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with some U.S. dignitaries and leaders of other countries to exchange views on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across various sectors.
Samdech Thipadei also plans to undertake a working visit to Europe, including Geneva and Brussels, where he will meet with prominent leaders and key stakeholders to further enhance partnerships and collaboration.
The high-level Cambodian delegation is expected to return home on Feb. 27.
