Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on Feb. 12 sent separate messages to Chinese top leaders, extending his sincere congratulations to them on the occasion of the Chinese New Year. 

“On the joyous occasion of the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Fire Horse, I am very delighted to convey my warmest greetings and best wishes to Your Excellency, the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the people of the People's Republic of China,” he wrote in his messages to H.E. Xi Jinping, President and General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee; H.E. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee, National People's Congress (NPC); and H.E. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also expressed his confidence that the Year of the Horse will bring new glory to the ironclad friendship between the two countries, governments, parties, and peoples as well as new impetus to their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation while advancing the building of the All-Weather Cambodia-China Community with a Shared Future in the New Era.

The Senate President concluded his messages by wishing the Chinese leaders good health, happiness, and greater success, as well as greater well-being and prosperity for the Chinese people.
