AKP Phnom Penh, February 06, 2026 --

H.E. Dr. Thongloun SISOULITH, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, arrived in Cambodia this morning to undertake a two-day State Visit to the Kingdom.

The visit is made at the invitation of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, according to a recent press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

During the two-day State Visit, His Majesty the King will graciously grant a Royal Audience to H.E. Dr. Thongloun SISOULITH and host a State Banquet in his honour at the Royal Palace.

H.E. General Secretary will also lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and the Royal Memorial of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah NORODOM Sihanouk "Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh", the late King-Father.

H.E. Dr. Thongloun SISOULITH will also hold a high-level meeting with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Dr. Thongloun SISOULITH will further strengthen the cordial friendship between Cambodia and the Lao PDR, underscoring shared commitment to further strengthen and deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation in the spirit of Comprehensive and Long-Lasting Strategic Partnership between Cambodia and the Lao PDR for development and prosperity of the two nations and peoples,” the press release underlined.
