Senior Minister Kun Kim Delivers PM Hun Manet's Gifts to Over 700 Refugee Families in Preah Vihear
AKP Phnom Penh, February 04, 2026 --
H.E. Kitti Sangahapundit Kun Kim, Senior Minister and First Vice-President of the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM), today distributed humanitarian gifts from Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet to 774 displaced families at a safety centre in Kampong Sralao 1 commune, Preah Vihear province.
In his capacity as NCDM representative, H.E. Kun Kim expressed profound gratitude to Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet for his consistent attention and close monitoring of the well-being of all displaced persons in safety centres across the country. He stated that the Royal Government of Cambodia, under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, who also serves as President of the NCDM, continues to direct all relevant ministries, institutions, and authorities at all levels to prioritise the welfare of displaced citizens who may continue to arrive from border areas at any time.
The Senior Minister highlighted that while the nation's heroic armed forces stand firm on the frontlines to defend territorial integrity, the Royal Government, never neglects the "rear battlefield." This entails guaranteeing the safety, security, and lives of all citizens in safety centres as an absolute priority.
He further instructed provincial authorities at all levels to maintain a constant state of readiness to receive and provide for additional displaced persons who may arrive from border regions.
Authorities were urged to ensure the continuous supply of food, essentials, and clean water, arrange for on-duty medical personnel to provide healthcare – especially for children and pregnant women – and to maintain excellent security and public order within the safety centres.
The humanitarian gifts from Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet provided to each displaced family included 50 kg of rice, one large carton of instant noodles, one large carton of canned fish, and cash support.
