AKP Phnom Penh, February 01, 2026 —
H.E. Neth Pheaktra, Member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and Head of the CPP Working Group for Kratie Province, has commended the working group for its grassroots efforts and urged continued dedication to earn greater public trust and support.
The assessment was delivered during a meeting this morning, where H.E. Neth Pheaktra presided over a review of the 2025 results and the setting of future directions for the Working Group.
In his address, H.E. Neth Pheaktra highly valued the collective work of the team, which has operated as a unified force with the singular goal of serving the people in line with the Party's political programme and the Royal Government policies. He noted that the tangible achievements of the Working Group clearly demonstrate the commitment of all stakeholders and have delivered new, positive results for Kratie province.
On this occasion, H.E. Neth Pheaktra also directed the Working Group to prepare and strengthen its capabilities for the upcoming Commune/Sangkat Council elections, scheduled for June 6, 2027. He emphasised the need for thorough assessments to identify challenges, strengths, and weaknesses in order to develop effective solutions.
The senior party official outlined six key pillars at the grassroots level, describing them as the foundation of the Party's local strength: 1- Commune/Sangkat Chiefs, 2-Commune/Sangkat Clerks, 3-Village Chiefs, 4-Commune/Sangkat Police Chiefs, 5-Health Centre Chiefs, and 6- School Directors. He stressed that the performance of these six pillars directly impacts the Party's standing and urged them to diligently fulfill their duties in providing public services.
Furthermore, H.E. Neth Pheaktra highlighted the proactive and collaborative spirit of CPP members in Kratie, whose timely interventions at the grassroots level reflect a high regard for the citizens. This engagement, he said, is crucial for fostering public confidence and warmth towards the CPP.
He encouraged all members to continue intensifying their service to the people, to perform good deeds, and to share in the lives of the citizens – core principles of the CPP. The goal is to build Kratie into a stronghold for the Party and to secure the people's high trust in the Royal Government of Cambodia.
The Working Group Head instructed leaders at all administrative levels across Kratie's seven districts and city to maintain excellent connections with the people. He called for continued public forums at the commune and district levels to better understand and address public concerns, and to jointly safeguard peace and promote socio-economic development to improve living standards.
Additionally, H.E. Neth Pheaktra urged all officials to have the courage to openly address shortcomings to find timely solutions. He emphasised the need for strong internal unity to further bolster public confidence in CPP officials, reiterating that the Party's common goal is to serve the people with unwavering loyalty.
The meeting was attended by deputy heads, members of the CPP Working Group for Kratie, leadership of the CPP's Provincial Committee, and hundreds of party officials representing the district, commune, and Sangkat levels.
