Cambodian Delegation Joins 16th Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Bahrain
AKP Phnom Penh, January 26, 2026 —
A high-level Cambodian National Assembly delegation arrived in Manama on Sunday to participate in the Executive Council Meeting and the 16th General Assembly of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).
The delegation is led by H.E. Ang Vong Vathana, Chairman of the National Assembly’s 6th Commission and Head of the APA National Group.
Cambodia’s Ambassador to Bahrain with residence in Kuwait, H.E. Sman Manan, is also in attendance to support the mission.
The five-day general assembly, running from Jan. 24–28, is chaired by H.E. Rizvan Nabiyev, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, representing the 2025 APA Presidency.
Representatives from 19 member nations are currently convened to strengthen regional legislative cooperation.
Key developments from the Executive Council session include: Formal adoption of the roadmap for the 16th APA General Assembly; Designation of chairpersons to lead the four APA Standing Committees for the 2026 term; Final assessment of draft resolutions previously debated during standing committee sessions.
