AKP Phnom Penh, January 23, 2026 -- Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. To Lam on his re-election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) at the 14th National Congress of the CPV.

“On behalf of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and my own behalf, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to Your Excellency on this auspicious occasion,” he stated in his message dated Jan. 23.

“Your re-election to this supreme position is a clear testament to the strong confidence and trust that the CPV and the people of Viet Nam place in your wise and competent leadership and guidance in national development which ensures that the people enjoy sustained peace, stability, and growing prosperity and enhances Viet Nam's prestige and role on both regional and international stages,” he stressed. 

Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his firm belief that under H.E. To Lam’s righteous, far-sighted and forward-looking leadership, the CPV will win further and greater trust and support from the Vietnamese people and achieve resounding success in implementing the policies and decisions adopted at the 14th National Congress.

“With our joint efforts, I am confident that we will further deepen the bonds of ‘good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stability’ between our two parties and countries,” he added.

The CPP President also wished his Vietnamese counterpart good health, happiness and greater success in his noble task of ensuring lasting happiness, well-being and prosperity of the Vietnamese people.
