“About 520,000 people, equivalent to nearly 80 percent of the total displaced population, have now returned to their communities,” the ministry said in a news release issued this afternoon.
It added that an additional 2,446 displaced people returned to their respective homes today, leaving 125,073 people still residing in displacement camps.
Most of those who remain displaced were evacuated from 14 specific areas that are under illegal control by Thai forces following the ceasefire agreement of Dec. 27, 2025, the ministry noted.
