Cambodia Digital Social Protection Platform Wins Gold Medal at ASEAN Digital Awards 2026
AKP Phnom Penh, January 17, 2026 --
The Cambodia Digital Social Protection Platform was awarded a Gold Medal at the ASEAN Digital Awards 2026 on Jan. 15, marking a significant achievement for the Kingdom’s digital transformation development.
The awarding ceremony was held in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam under the framework of the 6th ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting (ADGMIN 2026), the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications said on Friday.
The meeting was attended by ASEAN Digital Ministers and ASEAN Dialogue Partners, including the Republic of Korea, China, Japan, India, the United States of America, and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
After successfully passing multiple evaluation rounds, the Cambodian Digital Social Protection Platform, developed by the General Secretariat of the National Social Protection Council under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, was awarded the Gold Medal in the Public Sector category.
“The Cambodia Digital Social Protection Platform serves as a digital system for registering and verifying the identities of targeted citizens and beneficiaries within the social protection system,” the ministry said.
In the ASEAN Digital Awards 2026, all eleven ASEAN Member States shortlisted outstanding digital products and services to compete across six categories: (1) Public Sector Category; (2) Private Sector Category; (3) Digital Inclusivity Category; (4) Digital Content Category; (5) Digital Start-up Category; and (6) Digital Innovation Category.
