AKP Phnom Penh, January 15, 2026 --
Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, Permanent Vice President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) and senior representative of its President, Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, presided over on Thursday a handover ceremony of humanitarian aid from the Oknha Association of Cambodia.
The donation aims to support the livelihoods and ease the burdens of the heroic soldiers, their families, and displaced Cambodians.
During the ceremony, the Oknha Association of Cambodia provided the CRC with a financial contribution of US$1,005,000 and 500 boxes of purified water. These supplies are designated for distribution as relief packages to heroic soldiers, their families, and displaced people residing in camps.
The CRC is a humanitarian institution that consistently provides aid to Cambodian people across all social strata, particularly those facing crises and living in hardship. During periods of national armed conflict, soldiers, their families, and numerous refugees often encounter severe difficulties stemming from the hostilities. CRC leadership has been actively visiting, providing support, offering sustenance, and facilitating improved living conditions for all affected, ensuring that victims do not suffer starvation or live in misery.
Simultaneously, both national and international philanthropists regularly collaborate with the CRC, contributing funds, relief, essential materials, blood donations, and more to support the boundless humanitarian activities of the institution.
