More Cambodian Products Reach Shelves in Supermarkets Worldwide
AKP Phnom Penh, January 10, 2026 —
Cambodian products are increasingly appearing on the shelves of major supermarkets and well-known mini-marts around the world, as the Ministry of Commerce continues to work with development partners to promote exports to international markets.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Ministry of Commerce’s annual meeting on Jan. 9, H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, said that a wide range of Cambodian products have been exported and are now sold in more than 22,000 supermarkets and mini-marts across countries and regions including Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union.
“The Ministry’s export teams have facilitated 36 transactions and the signing of Memoranda of Understanding, enabling Cambodian products to enter major supermarkets and over 22,000 marts in Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union,” she said.
The Minister highlighted key achievements in expanding Cambodia’s export portfolio, including export agreements concluded in 2025 for dried mangoes, cashew nuts, and fragrant rice.
She also noted that the Ministry of Commerce has successfully concluded deals and memoranda of understanding to supply Cambodian agricultural products—such as dried cassava, cashew nuts, durian, bananas, maize, dried mangoes, fresh longan, and dried longan—to markets in China, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, and the European Union.
To further boost exports, H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul said the Ministry has worked closely with key development partners to establish export service centres, providing additional support and capacity building for Cambodia’s private sector, while also strengthening communication networks with international buyers in target markets.
