On the occasion of the 47th anniversary of Victory Day (January 7), a senior youth official of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) delivered aid packages from the country's leadership to military families and displaced citizens at a pagoda in Preah Vihear province.

H.E. Huot Hak, a member of the CPP Central Committee and head of the party's Central Youth Committee Secretariat, distributed the donations at Poeung Preah Ko pagoda on behalf of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Vice President of the CPP and head of its youth wing, and his spouse, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony.

The supplies, including rice, drinking water, sausage, dried fish, noodles, blankets, clothing, hygiene products, etc. were provided to 600 families of soldiers and people displaced by recent border tensions.

In remarks during the handover ceremony, which was also attended by Preah Vihear Provincial Governor H.E. Kim Rithy, H.E. Huot Hak expressed gratitude to frontline soldiers for "defending territorial integrity with bravery" and standing firm "against invading enemies."

He urged citizens to maintain trust in the Royal Government of Cambodia's directives, which he said supports the people "in all circumstances and at all stages."

H.E. Huot Hak also conveyed his "highest gratitude" to CPP President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, stating the nation's leaders always "share the joys and hardships with the people" and would not leave "any citizen, family, or soldier behind." He reaffirmed a commitment to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity "at all costs."

This marks the second time such aid has been delivered by H.E. Huot Hak to families at the pagoda in Preah Vihear, a province that has seen periodic military standoffs along its border.
