AKP Phnom Penh, January 04, 2026 --  The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPTC) launched on Jan. 2 the TranslateKH 2.0 programme to enhance translation from Khmer to English and from English to Khmer to provide convenience to users. 

The English-Khmer-Translation app is now available in Play Store and App Store, allowing users to download it for free, the ministry said in an announcement. 

In addition, the MPTC has also created a new website with the address ‘www.translate.kh’ to make it easier for the public to access via computer.

“The second generation TranslatKH translation programme is highly capable of understanding and translating based on the context of translation content rather than sentence construction, using artificial intelligence technology combined with deep learning techniques and a large language model,” the ministry stated. 

The first-generation TranslateKH translation programme was officially launched by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications on Nov. 25, 2024.
