Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, has extended his warmest greetings, profound respect, and heartfelt best wishes to the entire Cambodian people, on the occasion of the New Year 2026.

In his message released this morning, Samdech Techo reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to continue faithfully following the leadership and guidance of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, and Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk.

The Senate President expressed his deep gratitude and high appreciation to the Cambodian people for their strong spirit of patriotism, national unity, and solidarity, which have played a vital role in safeguarding national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and advancing the development of the motherland. He highlighted that this unity has been especially evident during challenging times, notably amid acts of aggression by Thai military forces.

He further praised the Cambodian people for their moral strength, material support, and unwavering solidarity with frontline soldiers, victims, and displaced civilians. Such collective support, he noted, stands as a source of national pride and a noble reflection of Khmer values, demonstrating to the world that even in difficult circumstances, Cambodians remain united as one nation, sharing both hardship and hope.

Looking ahead, Samdech Techo called on all Cambodians to continue upholding national unity and mutual solidarity in order to protect sovereignty and territorial integrity, preserve lasting peace both domestically and with neighbouring Thailand, and drive national development toward the realisation of Cambodia’s Vision 2030 and Vision 2050. He urged continued confidence in the Royal Government and the armed forces, who have made great sacrifices in leading and defending the nation and ensuring the safety and well-being of the people.

On this solemn occasion, Samdech Techo conveyed his best wishes of longevity, nobility, health, strength, and wisdom to all his compatriots so they may continue to lead and serve the nation toward enduring progress and prosperity.
