The Thai military has employed every means available to unlawfully invade Cambodia, yet the nation has responded with decisive action against these acts of aggression, H.E. Pen Bona, Head of the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit, stated during a press briefing this afternoon.

“Over the past 19 days, in addition to deploying various types of modern, heavy weaponry, the Thai military has waged psychological warfare against Cambodia, but they cannot succeed,” he underlined.

H.E. Pen Bona added that Thai forces have used both official and unofficial media channels to disseminate false and exaggerated information. He explained that these tactics are intended to deceive their own citizens for political gain, discourage Cambodian defence forces, and fracture the unified spirit of the Cambodian people. However, he noted that the Cambodian populace has not fallen into the trap of such psychological operations.

He further emphasised, that Cambodians from all walks of life have united to defend the nation’s territory, honour, and dignity. This great unity serves as a tribute to the brave Cambodian armed forces currently resisting the invasion.

The Royal Government Spokesperson Unit condemned Thailand’s war of aggression and its repeated military violations of Cambodian sovereignty, H.E. Pen Bona concluded.
