AKP Phnom Penh, December 22, 2025 -- Thai military forces continued to attack Cambodian civilian areas in Poipet city, Banteay Meanchey province this evening. 

At 8:59 p.m., Thai forces fired two flare gun rounds into the area of Sangkat Phsar Kandal, Poipet city (Street 58), said the Ministry of National Defence in a news release this evening. 

According to the Ministry, Cambodian forces remain on high alert and are closely monitoring the situation along the border. They are maintaining a firm, vigilant, and resolute posture while carrying out their duties to defend Cambodia’s territorial integrity and national dignity with determination and courage, at any cost, and without succumbing to any form of coercion or intimidation.
