Summary of Thailand’s Armed Aggression against Cambodia’s 4th and 5th Military Regions

The following is the summary of the Thai military’s continued armed aggression against Cambodia, in the 4th and 5th Military Regions released this evening by the Ministry of National Defence:
1. The situation along the Cambodia-Thailand border regarding the case of the Thai military forces continued their armed aggression on Cambodia, in the 4th Military Region from 01:00 a.m. to 05:00p.m., Dec. 16, 2025:
- At 01:00 a.m., The Thai military continued to shell into the areas of Ta Krabei Temple and Chob Angkounh.
- At 05:30 a.m., the Thai military began firing 155mm artillery into the area of Preah Vihear Temple.
- At 06:00 a.m., the Thai military shelled into the areas of Ta Krabei Temple, Tamone Temple, and Thmar Daun.
- At 07:20 a.m., the Thai military fired into Phnom Khmoach area using tank-mounted machine gun.
- At 08:48 a.m., the Thai military launched heavy attacks in the area of An Ses.
- At 09:25 a.m., the Thai military advanced their tanks equipped with machine gun into the area of Phnom Khmoach.
- At 09:30 a.m., the Thai military continued their attacks into Cambodian sovereign territory, using tanks, artillery, bombing drones, and Kamikaze drones in the area of Ta Krabei Temple, Hill 333, Thmar Chat, Chob Angkounh, Thmar Daun, Phnom Khmoach, and O’Smach; and shelled into the area of Samrong Municipality.
-From 01:37 pm, the Thai military significantly escalated their attack in the area of Preah Vihear Temple, by using heavy fire from DTI-2 multiple-launch rocket systems, while the area of Phnom Khmoach and An Ses were targeted by aerial drone bombardments and toxic gas deployed behind Keo Sekhakirisvara Pagoda in the area of Preah Vihear Temple and launch 155mm heavy artillery into the area of Phnom Khmoach. Simultaneously, the Thai military mobilised Special Forces units at Hill 333, supported by tank and infantry to execute ground incursions into the areas of Chob Angkounh, Ta Krabei Temple, and Thmar Chat.
2. The situation along the Cambodia-Thailand border regarding the case of the Thai military forces continued their armed aggression on Cambodia, in the 5th Military Region (Banteay Meanchey and Pursat Province): From 05:00 p.m. on Dec. 15, to 5:00 p.m. on Dec. 16, 2025:
On Dec. 15, 2025:
- At 06:20 pm, the Thai Military fired artillery shell into the area of Prey Chan village.
- At 08:00 pm, the Thai Military fired artillery shells into the area of O'Phluk Damrei.
- At 08:27 pm, the Thai Military intensified their artillery shelling into the area of O'Phluk Damrei.
- At 10:33 pm, the Thai Military fired shell from the navy vessel into the area of O'Phluk Damrei.
On Dec. 16, 2025:
- At 12:14 am, the Thai military continued to shelling from the navy vessel into the area of O'Phluk Damrei.
- At 06:25 am, the Thai military shelled into the area of Chouk Chey village.
- At 06:30 am, the Thai military shelled into the area of Prey Chan village.
- At 07:10 am, the Thai infantry supported by tanks attempted to infiltrate the area of Prey Chan village.
- At 07:36 am, the Thai military used toxic gas in the area of Prey Chan village.
- At 08:18 am, the Thai military shelled into the area of Boeung Trakuon.
- From 09:49 am, the Thai military continued to shell from the navy vessel into the area of O’Phluk Damrei, and as of 10:38 am, the shelling still continues.
- At 10:50 am, the Thai military shelled into the area of Chouk Chey village.
- At 11:19 am, the Thai military continued to shell into the area of Chouk Chey village.
- At 01:35 pm, the Thai military deployed a drone to drop a bomb in the area of O'Phluk Damrei.
- At 03:46 pm, the Thai military deployed reconnaissance drone, violating Cambodian airspace in the area of Thmar Da commune, Veal Veng district, Pursat province.
- From 03:54 pm to 04:04 pm, the Thai military deployed F-16 fighter jets to drop 3 bombs in the area of C1 border checkpoint.
- At 04:17 pm, the Thai military fired artillery shells into the area of C1 border checkpoint.
