SSBA Shares Progress on Joint Survey and Installation of Temporary Border Markers between Border Posts 42 and 47
AKP Phnom Penh, December 03, 2025 --
Officials from the State Secretariat of Border Affairs (SSBA) today provided an update on the ongoing joint survey and installation of temporary border markers along the border section between Posts 42 and 47, located in O’Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, opposite Khok Sung district of Sa Kaeo province, Thailand.
From Nov. 28 to Dec. 2, 2025, the Joint Cambodian-Thai Survey Team carried out ground surveys and installed temporary markers along the border section between Posts 42 and 43. Starting from the location of Border Post 42, the team installed 39 temporary markers, out of a total planned 277.
It should be noted that from Nov. 19 to 26, 2025, the Joint Survey Team conducted on-site work along the same border segment between Posts 42 and 43, which spans approximately 7 kilometres. During this period, they completed aerial photography using drones to produce a photomap of the area.
On Nov. 27, 2025, both sides jointly processed the aerial imagery data to develop the photomap.
