Cambodia-Thailand Joint Team Continues Survey and Placement of Temporary Border Markers between Posts 42 and 47
AKP Phnom Penh, November 24, 2025 -- The Cambodia-Thailand Joint Survey Team has continued conducting aerial drone photography to produce photographic maps ahead of installing temporary border markers along the section between markers 42 and 47, covering Prey Chan and Chouk Chey villages in O'Bei Choan commune, O'Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, Cambodia, and Khok Sung district, Sa Kaeo province, Thailand.
From Nov. 19 to 24, 2025, the team captured aerial images between border posts 42 and 43, covering approximately 5.3 kilometres, or around 76 percent of the required area. The aerial photography is scheduled to be completed on Nov. 26, 2025.
Beginning Nov. 27, 2025, both sides will start installing temporary markers between border posts 42 and 43, starting from post 42. After that section is completed, the team will continue with the remaining area from posts 43 to 47.
The ongoing survey and temporary marker placement between markers 42 and 47 are being conducted in line with the spirit of the Cambodia-Thailand Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) Meeting held on Oct. 21-22, 2025.
