Cambodian and Hungarian Foreign Ministries Hold Second Session of Political Bilateral Consultations

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia (MFAIC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary (MFAT), held on Friday this week in Hungary the Second Session of Political Bilateral Consultations between the two Foreign Ministries to further boost the relations and cooperation between both nations.
The meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Ms. CHRING Botumrangsay, Secretary of State at the MFAIC, and H.E. Péter Sztáray, State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security of the MFAT.
According to the MFAIC, both sides reaffirmed their long-standing friendship and excellent cooperation, which have flourished across a wide range of shared interests, as reflected in the frequent and fruitful engagements between the high-level leaders of the two countries.
The two sides also looked forward to the meaningful celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations in 2026. They underscored the significance of the Political Consultations mechanism and high-level exchanges in advancing political, economic, and developmental cooperation.
The Co-Chairs exchanged views and outlined practical steps to expand cooperation in key areas, such as trade and investment, water resource management, agriculture and agro-industry, energy, education, health, and tourism.
They also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern, including updates on the Cambodia-Thailand border situation, and reiterated their commitment to promoting peace and stability.
