CRC President Dispatches Delegation to Support Severely Assaulted Migrant Worker
AKP Phnom Penh, November 20, 2025— Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), has dispatched a delegation to provide immediate assistance and moral support to a young female migrant worker who was sexually assaulted while attempting to return to Cambodia.
The incident occurred near a border crossing in Kamrieng district, Battambang province, during the survivor's journey home. She was rescued and is currently receiving emergency medical treatment at Calmette Hospital.
On Nov. 20, H.E. Ms. Pum Chantinie, Secretary General of the CRC, led the delegation to visit the victim on behalf of the CRC President. The team delivered a basket of fruit, essential supplies, and financial aid while offering profound moral support.
H.E. Ms. Pum Chantinie conveyed the heartfelt sympathies and earnest encouragement of Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen, urging the young woman to maintain her strength and prioritise her full recovery.
The victim’s family expressed their deep gratitude to the Cambodian Red Cross and specifically to Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen for her compassionate attention, timely support, and encouragement during this traumatic period.
