Cambodia Considers Legal Action to Seek Justice for Civilians
AKP Phnom Penh, November 15, 2025 -- Cambodian authorities are actively investigating the recent border shooting carried out by Thai military forces, which left one Cambodian civilian dead and three others seriously injured.
According to a press release issued today, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior said that competent authorities have been examining and collecting evidence related to the Nov. 12 incident in Prey Chan village, O’Beichoan commune, O’Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, with the participation of the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT) and foreign experts.
The Spokesperson affirmed that once the investigation is completed and sufficient evidence has been gathered in accordance with international law, Cambodia will consider filing a complaint with relevant international bodies to demand accountability and justice for the victims.
