Cambodian Red Cross Approves Aid for Nearly 2,000 Families in Northeastern Provinces
AKP Phnom Penh, November 15, 2025 -- The Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) President Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, has authorised yesterday a significant humanitarian aid package targeting 1,925 vulnerable families across the northeastern provinces of Kratie and Stung Treng.
The initiative aims to mitigate living hardships and provide immediate relief to communities identified as most in need.
Officials from the CRC headquarters are scheduled to undertake a direct distribution next week, ensuring essential supplies reach the affected households.
The aid distribution will be focused on the following: 910 families across the Sambo and O’ Krieng Senchey districts, Kratie province; and 1,015 families across the Seam Bouk and Borey O’Svay Senchey districts, Stung Treng province.
Each of the 1,925 households will receive a comprehensive relief package designed to cover immediate food and shelter needs. The contents of the aid package include: 30 kg of rice, one case of instant noodles, canned fish, soy sauce, and a kit containing a mosquito net, blanket, sarong and krama.
