AKP Phnom Penh, November 12, 2025 --
The Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) has completed a two-day distribution of humanitarian relief, providing essential aid to 933 vulnerable families in Mondulkiri province, following the approval of CRC President Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen.
The beneficiaries, the majority of whom are members of the ethnic Punong minority group, received the assistance between Nov. 11 and 12, 2025. The relief operation was launched in response to a request from the Mondulkiri Provincial Red Cross Branch.
The aid was distributed across five districts and one city, targeting families most in need.
Officials from the CRC headquarters and the provincial branch delivered the donations directly to the families across the remote province.
The humanitarian events were overseen by H.E. You Lana, Second Deputy Secretary-General of the CRC; leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Branch, alongside a contingent of CRC officials, staff, youth members, and dedicated volunteers.
Each of the 933 vulnerable families received a standard relief package designed to meet immediate nutritional and household needs, including 30 kilogrammes of rice, one case of instant noodles, ten cans of canned fish, and six bottles of soy sauce; a mosquito net, a blanket, a sarong, and a scarf.
