AKP Jeju, November 12, 2025 --
Cambodia, along with other ASEAN member states and the Republic of Korea, has joined the official launch of the 19.6-kilometre ASEAN-Korea Olle Trail in Jeju on Nov. 11.
The event was presided over by H.E. Kim Jae-shin, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC), with the participation of H.E. Khuon Phon Rattanak, Ambassador of Cambodia to the Republic of Korea, together with ASEAN ambassadors and Ms. Ahn Eun-joo, CEO of the Olle Foundation.
According to H.E. Kim Jae-shin, the ASEAN-Korea Olle Trail commemorates the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Korea dialogue relations and their elevation to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
He added that following the unveiling ceremony held on Nov. 8, 2024, the AKC installed commemorative benches for each ASEAN member state along the trail.
Ms. Ahn Eun-joo highlighted that the initiative not only promotes Korea’s beautiful natural landscapes but also enhances mutual understanding between Koreans and ASEAN peoples, while strengthening cultural and tourism cooperation between ASEAN and Jeju.
Since Nov. 8, 2024, the ASEAN Benches at the ASEAN-Korea Olle Trail serve as a major symbol of friendship and connection between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea.
The 19.6-kilometre ASEAN-Korea Olle Trail is among Korea’s most iconic walking routes. On the occasion, ASEAN ambassadors and journalists walked along the trail to symbolise friendship and solidarity between ASEAN and Korea.
