Cuban Leaders Congratulate Cambodia on Independence Day

Cuban leaders have expressed their warmest congratulations to their Cambodian counterparts on the auspicious occasion of the celebration of the National Independence Day of Cambodia.
“On the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes for the well-being of His Majesty and his people,” H.E. Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Republic of Cuba, wrote in his congratulatory message dated Nov. 9 to His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.
The President also reiterated Cuba’s commitment to continue strengthening the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
In a separate message to Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, H.E. Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez reaffirmed his commitment to continue working on the implementation of high-level agreements, based on the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Cambodia.
At the same time, Foreign Minister of Cuba H.E. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla reassured the Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia, H.E. Prak Sokhonn, of Cuba’s commitment to further strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between both nations.
Cambodian people celebrate today the 72nd anniversary of national independence from France (Nov. 9, 1953 - Nov. 9, 2025).
