Cambodia, Türkiye Agree to Boost Further Economic Links
AKP Phnom Penh, November 05, 2025 --
H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, met on Nov. 4 with H.E. Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade of Türkiye in Ankara to discuss bilateral economic and trade relations between the two countries.
In this meeting, the two parties acknowledged the good bilateral cooperation between the two countries, in particular the steady increase in trade volume and economic complementarity.
Both Ministers noted with satisfaction that Cambodia and Türkiye have significant potential to further strengthen economic and trade cooperation, recognising that the two countries are not serving only as bilateral markets for one another but also serve as the gateways to access wider markets in their own regions – Türkiye as the gateway for Cambodia to access European market and Cambodia as gateway toward ASEAN and RCEP markets.
The two sides also agreed to encourage the private sector to look into increasing engagement and interaction in order to establish partnerships and explore other business opportunities with one another.
The two Ministries will work closely together to organise business matching events, trade exhibitions and other promotional events to boost this cooperation.
