Cambodia, Türkiye Further Strengthen Economic Cooperation

The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Türkiye conducted on Nov. 4 the 4th Joint Economic Commission Meeting reaffirming their commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation across multiple sectors.
The meeting was co-chaired by H.E . Mrs. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, and H.E. İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye in Ankara, Türkiye.
The meeting was also attended by leaders and expert officials from relevant ministries and institutions of both countries.
The Co-Chairs also discussed the possibility to further strengthen trade and investment cooperation in order to boost bilateral trade to reach the US$1 billion target as set by leaders of both countries.
In the meeting, both Ministers reaffirmed their strong commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation in all areas.
This will be pursued through the implementation of activities agreed upon in the Joint Minutes of the 4th Meeting, covering a wide range of sectors and sub-sectors including trade in goods and services, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, civil aviation, transport and infrastructure, education, investment, industry, science and technology, halal standards, water resources, tourism, health, and labour, social security and vocational training.
Cambodian Minister of Commerce is leading a delegation to pay an official visit to Türkiye. During her stay in Ankara, she has held talks with private sector discussing and exploring trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
