Australian Frigate Makes Four-Day Port Call in Sihanoukville to Strengthen Naval Ties

The HMAS Ballarat (FFH155), an Anzac-class frigate of the Royal Australian Navy, docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port in Preah Sihanouk province this morning for a four-day visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia, from Oct. 10 to 13.
The frigate, led by Commander Dean Uren, was warmly welcomed by Admiral In Sokhemra, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ream Naval Base, along with other senior naval officers.
According to the Ream Naval Base, the visit aims to strengthen cooperation and foster friendship and solidarity between the Royal Cambodian Navy and the Royal Australian Navy.
The HMAS Ballarat (FFH155) measures 118 metres in length, 14.8 metres in width, and 6.4 metres in draught, with a displacement of 3,900 tonnes.
