Royal Government Declares Dec. 7 as Civil Aviation Day in Cambodia
AKP Phnom Penh, October 10, 2025 --
The Royal Government of Cambodia has designated Dec. 7 as Civil Aviation Day in Cambodia to promote air transport development in line with the National Policy on Air Transport 2025–2035, according to a directive released this morning.
To commemorate the occasion, the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) has been instructed to coordinate with ministries, institutions, and relevant stakeholders to organise various activities, including aviation exhibitions, visit programmes, outreach campaigns, online information sharing, and award ceremonies honouring outstanding aviation staff, etc.
The National Policy on Air Transport 2025–2035, adopted on April 4, 2025, sets an ambitious target of attracting 25 million air passengers and 205,000 tonnes of air cargo by 2035.
According to a report of SSCA, Cambodia’s three international airports collectively handled a record 6.2 million passengers in 2024, while air cargo reached 77,800 tonnes.
