Ministry of Tourism Showcases Cambodian Cuisine in Kuala Lumpur
AKP Phnom Penh, September 25, 2025 -- The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with NagaWorld Hotel and the Cambodian Chefs Association, is showcasing Khmer signature dishes such as Fish Amok, Num Banchok (Khmer noodles), and cashew nuts at the Food and Hotel Malaysia (FHM) 2025 exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Cambodian delegation, led by H.E. Pak Sokhom, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Tourism, is participating in the event taking place from Sept. 22 to 26.
The international exhibition features 1,500 booths representing both government institutions and the private sector from around the world. It highlights developments in the food, hotel, and hospitality industries, and is expected to attract more than 12,000 buyers, sellers, and visitors over its five-day run.
Cambodia’s participation aims to promote the country’s culinary heritage and diverse tourism destinations.
In addition, three young Cambodian chefs will compete in the Mamee Asian Culinary Cup, joining 36 contestants from 12 Asian countries.
Through this exhibition, the Ministry of Tourism seeks to further raise Cambodia’s profile as an international tourism destination, attract investment in the food sector, and enhance the professional skills of Cambodian tourism and hospitality workers.
