Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Sébastien LECORNU on his appointment as Prime Minister of the French Republic.

"On behalf of the Royal Government and the people of Cambodia, I extend my warmest congratulations on your appointment, on September 9, 2025, as Prime Minister of the French Republic," wrote Samdech Thipadei in his message dated Sept. 14.

"Your accession to this high office constitutes a major milestone in your political career and opens new perspectives for strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and France, based on a shared history and common values," he emphasised.

Samdech Thipadei also reaffirmed the Royal Government of Cambodia's full commitment to working closely with the French government to breathe new life into their strategic partnership and to jointly prepare for upcoming events, including the Francophonie Summit to be held in Cambodia in 2026.

"With this in mind, I look forward to your possible visit to Cambodia. Please accept, Mr. Prime Minister, the assurances of my highest consideration and my sincere wishes for every success in carrying out your new responsibilities," he concluded.
