Cambodia Considered Timor-Leste’s Special Guest at DITE 2025

Cambodia is considered a special guest of Timor-Leste at the five-day Dili International Expo 2025 (DITE 2025), being held at the Dili Convention Centre in Timor-Leste, from Aug. 28 to September 1, 2025.
The remark was made by H.E. Nino Pereira, Timor-Leste’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, while receiving H.E. Pich Rithy, Secretary of State for Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce, on the sidelines of DITE 2025, said the Ministry of Commerce.
The Timorese Minister continued that the DITE 2025 would provide opportunities for the private sector from various countries to meet, communicate, and make business partners.
H.E. Nino Pereira also appreciated Cambodia for its participation in the DITE 2025, which has reflected the strengthening of the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, as well as her continued support for Timor-Leste's accession as the 11th member of ASEAN.
H.E. Pich Rithy thanked the Timor-Leste side for their heartfelt hospitality and extended greetings from Cambodian Minister of Commerce H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul with the ministry’s full support for the DITE 2025 organisation, adding that it is an important event to create opportunities to increase business relations, tourism, and investment in Timor-Leste.
The Secretary of State was also optimistic about future full ASEAN membership of Timor-Leste and its rapid progress through various agreements such as the ASEAN free trade agreement and agreements with partner countries.
After the meeting, both sides visited the exhibition venue, with praise from H.E. Nino Pereira for the Ministry of Commerce’s most attractive and outstanding design among all the displaying booths.
