AKP Phnom Penh, August 21, 2025 —

Cambodia warmly welcomes the recent historic Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement, which represents a positive development toward lasting peace and stability in the Caucasus region and greater prosperity for the friendly peoples of both countries.

The statement was made by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation this evening. 

Cambodia further commends the decisive role of Honorable President Donald J. Trump in mediating this historic peace agreement, as well as his broader efforts in resolving conflicts and restoring peace and stability in various regions through visionary and innovative diplomacy, the statement added.

As a peace-loving country, it underlined, Cambodia reaffirms our unwavering support and commitment to the peaceful settlement of disputes, in accordance with international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.
