The barbed wire illegally installed by Thai forces in the Anseh area on Aug. 4, 2025, has been removed, and the accompanying machinery has ceased operations as of this afternoon.

The update was shared by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia in a statement released this evening.

According to the statement, the removal followed discussions and negotiations between Cambodian and Thai forces stationed in the Anseh area.

“Anseh is within Cambodian sovereign territory and has been under the full control of the Cambodian armed forces since the ceasefire agreement between Cambodia and Thailand came into effect at midnight on July 28, 2025,” the spokesperson reaffirmed.
