AKP Phnom Penh, July 22, 2025 -- 

H.E. Thongsavanh PHOMVIHANE, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, accompanied by his spouse, will pay an official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia from July 24 to 25, 2025, at the invitation of H.E. PRAK Sokhonn, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

During the visit, H.E. Thongsavanh PHOMVIHANE will be granted a royal audience by His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath NORODOM SIHAMONI, King of Cambodia, according to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued this evening.

The Lao Foreign Minister will also pay separate courtesy calls on Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen, President of the Senate, and H.E. Kittisethabindit CHEAM Yeap, Acting President of the National Assembly. 

Moreover, he will meet bilaterally with H.E. Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn to discuss the enhancement of Cambodia-Laos relations and cooperation.

“This upcoming official visit reaffirms the shared commitment to deepen the long-standing traditional ties of friendship between the two peoples,” underlined the press release.
